Pictures Continue

After all of my ranting and raving the other day about pixagogo I have finally decided to stay with them. Mostly because I don't want to go though all the hassel of moving photos from one site to another. Though I plan on keeping dropshots as my share photo place. I like them a lot so far. Not sure how it will go later on but as of right now they are cool. I cancelled the unlimited because I don't need to store the photos anymore. Truly I would have used them for storage but I found out they resize the photo and I can't re-download the original if something should happen to my home computer. So as it is they will be my photo sharing site...Once I get all my things going on I will post it to everyone so that you can view the pictures. I also need to blog something on Myspace letting everyone know I no loger us it. On top of that I need to fix my facebook...Wow am I really behind on getting things done.

Steven came up with a great idea to sort my photos. Ok heres what happen. A couple of years ago I got the "bright idea" to put all of my photos in 1 folder. This kept me from having so many folders on my hard drive. Well that was great until I had all of them done. The problem came when I tried to find a picture. When I say I have a lot of photos we are talking over 20 thousand photos and over 30 gigs of space. You put all of that into one folder and even with my quad dual processor it can't keep up. So now I can open the file but it takes so long to load and even longer to scroll through them. So here I am trying to figure out how to break these back down to folders without doing it one at a time. Thats where my baby comes in. He had the bright idea to sort them by date taken. Which was got me thinking...I know how to sort them by date but the problem is my computer wont sort so many gigs at once. So I am taking them out by a few thousand and adding them to another folder. Then I sort the smaller folder into months which means with a couple of hours of work I will be done...Yay...Steven said he will help but he is busy working on the yard, and I really really really want my yard finished...

Photo Storage

As everyone knows I love to take pictures. Well with taking pictures comes the duty of keeping them stored. For the past 3 years I have been keeping they stored on Pixagogo for $5 a month. Not bad when you take in the amount of photos I have stored. I didn't just want to keep them on a hard drive because as you know computers come and go. Well my pixagogo is paid for by paypal which has always worked well...Untill now, because I didn't have a credit card back up (mine expired) it won't let me renew my pixagogo which caused them to cancel me. Now that didn't make me happy at all. Because when I finally found out I had to renew my subscription but they charged me the new rate of $8.50 instead of my old rate of $5. Now I know its only a $3.50 difference but hey its the principal. Now I had to renew at a higher rate until I find another storage for my photos. I think I might have found one but I need to get time to check it out before I decide. I have been having some troubles getting it to delete some photos and I haven't found if it has downloadable actions yet. Though I do like how it uploads photos. I will post more about it once I find out if I like the new website or not. So far so good though...
